Have you ever wanted to work on an earthship and find out the fascinating facts of how it operates?

You are invited to participate in our workshop, led by Australia’s most experienced earthship builder, Sean Bozkewycz, to seal the tyres with cob and render with a clay plaster.

Candy’s earthship at Narara Ecovillage (the first approved on the Central Coast, 2nd in NSW) was designed by Australian earthship guru, Martin Freney www.earthshipecohomes.com.au

It’s a two-bedroom design for a small suburban block of land only 15m in the north south direction, and addresses principles of human needs:

• Thermo-solar heating and cooling
• Solar electricity
• Composting toilet
• Building with natural and recycled materials
• Water harvesting and long term storage
• Thermal mass and natural cross-ventilation to regulate indoor temperature
• Internal food production capability

The design is intentionally uncomplicated and single-story, so that people with little building knowledge can construct them.

Cost: $150 for 3 days covers morning/afternoon tea and lunch and optional evening gatherings. Limited numbers. If you can only come for 1 or 2 days, check with Candy before you book.

Payment: You can choose to pay by credit card (through Stripe) or receive an invoice to pay us by bank transfer (through your internet or phone banking).
